WDJC Not-So-Newlywed Game

It’s time again for WDJC’s annual Valentine’s Day Game Show, Friday, February 12th at 7:00 AM! The “Not-So-Newlywed Game” is sponsored by Jeff Dennis Jewelers in Gardendale, and features a Grand Prize worth $1,500.00. Similar to the classic TV game show, couples will try to correctly answer questions about each other, in hopes of earning the highest points. The following Hosts and their wives will be playing on your behalf this year: Russell & Brooke Wall, David & Sonya Lamb, Justin & Sherri Brown, Terry & Katy Patilla and Steve & Karen West. Ronnie Bruce and Jon Walden will be your game show hosts.
Each show host will qualify one listener to represent their team. Qualifying rounds will take place between Saturday, February 6th and Monday, February 8th. To qualify, listen for the “Not-So-Newlywed Contest Sounder” and call 741-9352 (WDJC). Caller nine will qualify to be the representative of that show host and his wife, plus receive a CD prize just for qualifying. Then listen Friday morning, February 12th at 7:00 AM during the David & Russell Show and find out which couple will win this year’s WDJC “Not-So-Newlywed Game” sponsored by Jeff Dennis Jewelers . . . “Turning Husbands Into Heroes Daily”.
Rules:
1. No purchase or cash transaction necessary to enter contest.
2. Void where prohibited by federal, State of Al, or local laws. You must be a legal state of Alabama resident, 18 years of age or older to participate in this contest.
3. Winning households are ineligible to win another prize on the station for 30 days or for the duration of any contest, whichever occurs first.
4. Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes, which may be payable due to receipt of prize.
5. Participants may not use sophisticated telephone or computer equipment to win the contest. Winners who are found to have used such equipment will be disqualified.
6. WDJC reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time. All prize award decisions are final. The decisions of WDJC management are final. WDJC may change rules at any time during contest.
7. Qualifiers will be chosen, February 6th through the 8th during the Steve West Show on Saturday, Sunday of Praise, and Monday during The Morning Show with David and Russell and Justin Brown Show. To qualify for the game participant must
be the 9th caller after the designated contest sounder.
8. Each qualifier will be represented by a host and their wives during the “Not-So-Newlywed-Game”. The winner will be determined by the couple with most correct answers. In the case of a tie, the winner will be determined by a coin toss.
9. The game will be played, and winner determined February 12th .
10. Winners must agree to release and hold harmless WDJC and its affiliates, agencies, advertisers, sponsors, licensees, and immediate families from claims, liabilities, or legal actions which may arise as a result of winning a prize in the contest.
11. Employees, agencies, representatives, affiliates, and immediate families of Crawford Broadcasting Company and any official contest/promotion participant, and employees of other radio stations licensed to in the state of Alabama are not eligible.
12. Prizes may not be exchanged, substituted, transferred or redeemed for other prizes by winner. Prizes are non-transferable. Cash will not be awarded as a substitute for prize.
13. To be eligible to win, each winner will be required to sign a release giving WDJC permission to use his or her name, picture, portrait, likeness and voice for publicity purposes connected with this promotion without additional compensation. Winners will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and release as a condition of winning. Tax forms must be completed.
14. Winners must present a photo id (driver’s license, passport, etc) before prize will be distributed. All insurance costs are the responsibility of the winner.
15. Prizes must be claimed at 120 Summit Parkway, Suite 200, Birmingham, Alabama 35209. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:30pm (excluding holidays). Winners have fourteen (14) days to claim prize. Prizes will not be mailed unless approval is granted by management.
16. Prizes not claimed in 14 fourteen days will be forfeited by winner.
17. By entering, entrant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify WDJC and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant’s participation, or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.
18. WDJC is not responsible in the event of any technical difficulties with any equipment, including telephone equipment during any and all contests.
19. WDJC is not responsible for any events beyond their control (acts of God, cancelled concert, artist or performer non-appearance, etc).
20. Contest rules may vary with individual contests. All decisions of WDJC are final. By participating in any contest on WDJC, constitutes acknowledgement by you to abide by all contest rules stated of the decisions of WDJC.
