Meet Dr. Zehra Syed (just call her Dr. Z!)
She grew up in the Oak Mountain community, right outside of Birmingham, playing soccer. This love for the sport later earned her a place on the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ Women’s Soccer Team. She earned her Bachelors in both Biology and Business. Dr. Z then went on to earn her MBA before attending UAB to pursue her dental education. From Birmingham, Dr. Z attended the Medical University of South Carolina, where she completed a 3-year residency and served as Chief Resident. With a strong education in advanced surgical orthodontics, clear aligner therapy, growth modification treatments, and traditional braces, she completed her certification process to become a Board Certified Orthodontist.
