    Jessica's heart for her listeners

I hope that when listeners tune in each afternoon, they feel like they’re spending time with a friend — someone who understands the ups and downs of life and wants to encourage them along the way.

My goal is to be a voice of encouragement, hope, and honesty — reminding people that even in life’s toughest moments, God’s grace is still present.

Afternoons with Jessica: Grit & Grace is built on the belief that faith and real life are meant to walk hand in hand.

Each afternoon, Jessica brings listeners along for conversations that include laughter, personal stories, encouragement, and moments of spiritual reflection. The show blends lighthearted engagement with meaningful discussions about the things people are actually navigating every day — family, relationships, struggles, faith, and finding hope in difficult seasons.

Jessica’s heart behind the show is simple: to come alongside listeners as someone who understands that life can be messy, challenging, and beautiful all at the same time.

    About Jessica

Jessica has been part of the Crawford Media Group family for well over a decade, though radio was never part of her original plan. In fact, she never set out to work in broadcasting at all. But through a series of unexpected twists, turns, and open doors, God charted a path that eventually landed her behind the microphone — something she now considers one of the greatest blessings of her life.

    Jessica's Family

Jessica with FamilyJessica’s greatest joy in life is being a mom to her two incredible children, Landen and McKaylee.

Their story has deeply shaped her life and faith. McKaylee is a terminal brain cancer survivor who is alive today only by the grace of God. Watching both Landen and McKaylee walk through that difficult season with strength, resilience, and faith has been one of the greatest blessings of Jessica’s life as a mother.

She often says that witnessing how that journey has shaped both of her children — in courage, compassion, and perspective — has been one of the most humbling and beautiful things she’s ever experienced.

    Jessica's faith journey

Jessica often describes herself as a “late bloomer” when it comes to faith. She didn’t come to know Christ until she was 36 years old, when God radically transformed her life.

    That moment changed everything.

Because of that experience, Jessica approaches faith with humility, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for grace. She understands what it’s like to come to faith later in life and to learn how to walk with God in the middle of real-world struggles.

That perspective shapes the heart behind her show — conversations about faith that are honest, relatable, and rooted in the reality that none of us have life perfectly figured out.
